Wednesdays at Bartlesville First Church
The Bible is the most influential piece of literature in history but it can also be one of the most difficult to navigate. We gather at Midweek to advance our understanding of scripture in groups. We read, discuss, and apply God’s word in community.
Midweek Message, Fall 2018
Each Wednesday begins with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by study groups for adults and activities for youth and children at 5:55 p.m.
Come join us as we help make new, and strengthen, existing disciples of Jesus Christ!
Courageous Conversations is a United Methodist structured dialogue resource for having difficult conversations with people you love but with whom might disagree. The purpose of this study is “to promote structure dialogues for learning. This requires a nurturing, supportive environment where participants can own their own voice with humble conviction, uncover their own and other’s assumptions, and respectfully listen to alternative perspectives.” (Hughes, M. Scott, Courageous Conversations, 2018)
Dr. Greg Tener will lead this study on Wednesdays at 5:55 p.m. in the Narthex.
ASK: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age
Do you have questions? Questions are good! Questions challenge us, prod us, encourage us. They force us to go beyond easy answers to think more carefully and feel more deeply. If questions are asked with a seeker’s heart, they can lead to faith. Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age is a study about difficult questions and faithful answers.
Rev. Tari Carbaugh will lead this study on Wednesdays at 5:55 p.m.
