Palm Sunday Fun-Day
The annual First Church Easter Egg Hunts will be on Sunday, March 25th.
Traditional Egg Hunt
Children two years old through 5th grade are invited to hunt eggs, experience a retelling of the Easter story, and enjoy cookies and punch. Family and friends are encouraged to come help the little ones hunt eggs, take pictures, and enjoy refreshments too!
Nautical Egg Hunt
1st-5th graders are invited to participate in a Nautical Egg Hunt! We will provide canoes, lifejackets, and an adult for each canoe. Children will set off on a 30-minute canoe quest to gather floating Easter Eggs that can be redeemed for prizes! Participants are responsible for wearing clothes and shoes that can get dirty (no flip-flops please!).
Pre-Register for this event here!
Fellowship and Fun
Everyone is invited! Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and fun as the kids egg hunt and the adults enjoy Palm Sunday through fellowship. We are excited to announce that this year in addition to our traditional and Nautical Egg Hunts we will be hosting a few local food trucks (Shorties Grille, Dud’s Barbecue & Company, and Kona Ice) in our own parking lot to allow everyone to picnic on the lawn and enjoy the spectacle of events. We hope that people of all ages stay and enjoy an afternoon of treats and excitement together.
How You Can Help
If you would like to participate in making the Traditional Egg Hunt a success for the little ones by filling eggs, please pick up empty eggs from Felicia Bumgarner’s office (Room 112). These eggs need to be filled with small toys or wrapped candy. You can also bring your own filled eggs to donate by Sunday, March 18th.
If you would like to be an adult canoe captain for the Nautical Egg Hunt, please email Felicia Bumgarner
